Customer problem: I have received the VAS 6154 device. I install ODIS 5.1.6 on Win7/ 64 bit, but I have a problem connecting to the vehicle (all 3 devices work identically). The first time I connect to a vehicle, it recognizes the vas6154 interface. If I disconnect and reconnect the interface then the interface is no longer visible in ODIS. This appears on USB or WIFI and appears every time. After that I have to shut down ODIS and restart. I’m asking for help!!!vas6154 original vas 6154a
The VCX Manager and ODIS 5.1.6 software cannot be opened at the same time. If you restart the ODIS software and can connect well, it indicates that it can use normally.

Review 1 :What is the difference between Obdstar x300 dp full and Obdstar x300 Dp Plus?
I have Obdstar x300 dp full (Yellow model) and it is working well, only with newer models needs to connect to internet, example: odometer correction to 2015- Ford F150, I just renew the yearly subscription (us$200) and keeps updating almost daily.
OBDSTAR X300 Pro4 have full car list for immo function same as DP Plus. I don’t know if the x300 Dp Plus is substantially better than first model, the difference in price is high. The new x300 dp plus comes with new functions like “ecu programming” and “ecu clone” (I can’t find information on what models can make with those functions), now have a new RFID adapter (P001) and they discontinued the support for the old RFID adapter, no updates. 1.For diagnostics it’s very limited, almost no special functions,. 2.For key programming and pin code retrieval is good, not all brands and models but can make many models without issues. 3.For odometer calibration is good, better than EZ500 (I have this tool too). In my own experience the money invested was worth it. Review 2:It seems like they periodically updating the soft wear The tool itself works , boots up and operate. However the following are what I consider deficient especially since I am in the car repair Buisness . 1- The instruction manual is nort very clear , for instance it does not clarify which charger unit is “specifically for the scanner” and which is not. I had To go on line in order to figure out what the instruction manual is telling me to do when setting the unit up.2- The soft wear for any of its capabilities is not necessarily available right away, it seems like they periodically updating the soft wear. Please not also that the odometer programming is not available for all vehicles such as Toyota, BMW, to name few.In all I would say the price is too much for a scanner that does not give you clear and precise guidance as to how to manipulate its capabilities And one that is still lacking necessary soft wear for cars that I work on all the time.

I purchased this product after researching for months. The ease of use, the support that comes from other compatible models and accessories that come with it are very simple to configure.
My main complaint is that it doesn’t come with a key renew adapter which I find more useful than all of the older adapters they include including the eprom adapter.
It also does have any diagnostic compatibility for any domestic cars other than dodge and ford. One customer gave the feedback that he failed to add a key for Nissan Micra 2003 All Keys Lost by OBDSTAR X300 DP PLUS. Our technical support believes the chip may be the cause but do not exclude other reasons. Because of limited information, here we try to provide a probable approach to the problem.
Solution:
The main reason is that the new key’s chip could not be recognized, so we may need to work the transponder by other tools first.
Here we take a Nissan ID 46 transponder original key by Xhorse Key Tool Max for an example.
Step 1. Read Transponder
Insert the original key into the coil of Key Tool Max.
Press
Transponder Clone>>Read Transponder
Wait to see what transponder is in it.
Here we can see it’s got a transponder 46 chip.
Then back to Homepage. Press
Vehicle Remote>>Nissan>>Nissan ID46 13-17 Micro
Step 2. Generate Remote
Insert the new key into the coil.
Press “Generate remote” and wait…burn success. If All Keys Lost like this customer, go ask the dealer about what transponder is in the key.
It seems an ID 4D607 transponder judged by the image.
Then skip the Step 1, just do the Step 2 to generate new key’s transponder.
Now we can take this new key out to the vehicle and use OBDSTAR X300 PAD2 to program it.
Apart from the reason, care two prompts.
One is “Program Smart Keys will erase all keys”, so you need to cycle in all keys you have as the prompt.

How to release memory space When you see this message on screen, it means have no more space in memory to save your dump. So please as following:
1.Connect device to PC by usb cable,run “Windows Mobile center” on PC and choose “connect without setting up your device”
2.Open “Residentflash”
3.Delete files from “backup” “ododata” “userdata” folders,also can backup them to PC if needed.
